She died on 20 February 1964 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, at age 78. She was buried at Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Burnsville, Tishomingo County, Mississippi.

     Rachel Leora Floyd was born on 7 October 1887 at Tishomingo County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of John Franklin Floyd and Rachel Emmaline Perry.² Rachel Leora Floyd also went by the name of Ora. Her married name was Gober. She married Rev. George Newton Gober, son of Newton Jasper Gober and Rachael Dobbs, on 21 December 1902. Rachel Leora Floyd died on 26 January 1981 at Iuka, Tishomingo County, Mississippi, at age 93.
