During his childhood he moved with his parents to Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Baylor Pharmacy College in Dallas. He was formerly employed at the Sanger Pharmacy. Scott retired in 1953 after 50 years as a pharmacist.
In 1919 he married Ada Shelton, who died in 1923. He married Alyne Seal in Sanger in 1951. She survives him.
Scott was a member of the Sanger Presbyterian Church, where he was serving as an elder at the time of his death. During World War I, he served in the U.S. Army Field Hospital No. 143.
He had been a Mason for over 50 years, being a Thirty-Second Degree Mason at El Paso, TX. He was a Knight Templar at Denton and a Shriner at Ft. Worth. He was a member of Sanger Bolivar Lodge.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by many nieces and nephews.1
